Organization Structure
Based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia number 0204/0/1995 Organization and Administration of the University of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and in general on the PP 30 / 1990 Faculty (Forestry UGM) is implementing some elements of the main tasks and functions (UGM), which led by Dean and responsible to the Rector. Faculty Organization is set in UGM Bylaws based Trustees Council Decision No. 12/SK/MWA/2003 UGM. Faculty Organization consists of: Faculty Senate, Chairman of Faculty, Department, Laboratory / Studio, Faculty of Administration Implementation Unit, and other units as deemed necessary. With the increase in faculty activities and cooperation with other parties, then assistant dean dean picked specifically called by the Division, the Division of Cooperation and Research & Development Division, which are both directly responsible to the Dean. Organizations that take care of employees is also formed Korpri and Dharma Wanita.
Other faculty activities is to open education and training programs (Training Center), where the term given to the Division of Cooperation. The program also manages DIKLAT Diploma programs D3 and SO (D1) that funds obtained from IWPL (Dues Payer Education and Training) concession holder of the Department of Forestry.
The organization in the Faculty of Forestry Universitas Gadjah Mada, namely:
1. Faculty Senate
Faculty Senate consists of 5 elements, namely: Professor, Professor and Professor of Emiritus Extraordinary; Dean; Vice Dean; Head of Department and Deputy Department is selected and the amount is adjusted by the number of lecturers in the department concerned. Determination of the Chairman, Secretary, and Members of the Senate conducted by the Rector Decree. For the smooth implementation of the basic tasks and functions of the Senate Faculty of Forestry GMU formed four commissions, namely the Institutional Commission, Development Commission, Budget Commission, and Ethics and Morals committee.
2. Faculty Leadership
Faculty of Forestry UGM led by a dean. In carrying out the task, the Dean is assisted by three vice-deans are: Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, Vice Dean of Finance and Administration Division General, Vice Dean for Research, Cooperation, and Alumni Relations. Dean and Vice Dean appointed and dismissed by the Rector of the Faculty Senate opinion. In carrying out their respective duties the Vice Dean is assisted by Assistant Vice Dean.
3. Department and Program Study
Faculty of Forestry UGM has four Direction namely: Forest Management (MH), Silviculture (Treasurer), Forest Products Technology (THH), and the Forest Resources Conservation (KSDH). Major organizations consist of: Head of Department, Secretary of the Department, Our Faculty, Staff Administration, and laboratory / studio. Faculty of Forestry has four strata-Study Program 1 managed by each department. Besides, there are diploma-Study Program III Forest Management.
4. Laboratory
Faculty of Forestry UGM has many laboratories as a means of supporting the success of educational programs and quality of graduates. Laboratories are managed and Amnestied each department. Full description of the laboratory in each department can be seen on the course profile.
5. Laboratory / Field Campus
In addition with the existing laboratory in the department, faculty of forestry is also equipped with an existing laboratory in the field, or better known as "campus court". With the field campus students will be easier to practice and research directly.
6. Library.
Library faculty are on the 3rd store of the building unit 1. Various library materials ranging from textbooks at home and abroad, lecturers and research students (S1, S2, S3), scientific artikel2, bulletins, news, etc. available forestry complete. Other facilities include scanning articles / journals in the environment until the scale UGM International.
7. Information and Communication Technology.
The importance of information technology like the Internet as a "window of information without borders" in the development and improvement of the quality of education in the Faculty of Forestry became a necessity that must be met. Internet connection facilities are in every laboratory, faculty room and is equipped with a 7 point hot spots (wireless access point) that allows Internet connection in every corner of the Faculty of Forestry. Students also facilitated the room for internet access on the Internet Student Service Center (PPIM) in order to improve the knowledge and ability to use information technology.
